For forty years, I walked a path shadowed by alcoholism. It was a life of struggle, where every day felt like a battle I couldn’t win. But then, something changed—something divine broke through the noise. I felt God speak to me, a quiet but unshakable call that stirred my soul. That moment, starring into the bathroom mirror became my turning point.
With faith as my anchor, I entered rehab and began the hard work of rebuilding my life. By God’s grace, I’ve been sober for over four years, and in that time, I’ve discovered a new purpose—a calling to give back. I’ve always loved music, especially the soulful resonance of stringed instruments. Guitars, in particular, have a way of speaking when words fail. They can lift spirits, bridge divides, and carry hope to places that need it most.
That’s why, after speaking with a friend I founded *Beacon Instrument*. This ministry is my way of shining a light into the world, just as God shone His light into my darkness. We build and refurbish stringed instruments—guitars, violins, anything with strings—and send them to mission fields and under-served communities. Every instrument we craft or restore is a testament to redemption, a tool for someone else to find their voice, their peace, or their praise.
My story isn’t just about overcoming addiction; it’s about being transformed by faith and compelled to serve. I know what it’s like to be lost, and now I feel drawn to help others find their way. Through *Beacon Instrument*, we’re not just donating guitars—we’re sharing hope, striking a chord for God’s Kingdom, one note at a time.
